A historic high-grade silver asset with multiple pathways for redevelopment. Silver Spur forms one of the cornerstone assets within the Silver Star Resources portfolio, combining a long mining history, recognised silver-lead-zinc mineralisation and a significant nearby slag deposit.
Silver Spur is one of the cornerstone assets within the Silver Star Resources portfolio. Situated within a proven mining district with more than a century of production and exploration history, the asset is known for its high-grade silver, lead and zinc mineralisation.
The project combines the historical Silver Spur mine with a nearby silver-rich slag deposit, creating multiple pathways for future assessment and redevelopment. Together, these elements provide a strong foundation for continued technical work and resource evaluation.
The Silver Spur lode outcrops were discovered in 1890, with first official recognition by the Mineral Lands Commissioner in 1891, marking the beginning of formal mining activity in the area.
The mine produced approximately 100,000 tonnes of ore together with zinc, lead, copper and by-product gold. In 2004, Macmin Silver Ltd identified a JORC-compliant multi-million-ounce silver-equivalent resource, further highlighting the enduring geological potential of the district.
Located just over one kilometre east of Twin Hills, the Silver Spur slag deposit consists of approximately 95,000 tonnes of silver-rich material that has remained on the Mining Lease for decades.
Recent geological assessments indicate more than 4 million ounces of silver equivalent within the material. Silver Star Resources has secured full ownership and possession of the slag, providing direct control over an above-ground material source that may support future recovery opportunities.
Silver Spur — Texas District, Queensland
Silver Spur has more than a century of mining history, with historical production of approximately 2.19 million ounces of silver.
The historical mine produced silver at an average grade of approximately 800 g/t Ag together with zinc, lead, copper and by-product gold.
Approximately 95,000 tonnes of silver-rich material is located just over one kilometre east of Twin Hills and is under Silver Star Resources' ownership.
Previous drilling has demonstrated encouraging silver grades across approximately 330 metres of strike, supporting continued technical evaluation.
Previous drilling has demonstrated encouraging silver grades across approximately 330 metres of strike, reinforcing the continuity of mineralisation at Silver Spur and providing a foundation for further evaluation.
These results support continued technical work to better define the scale and extent of the mineralised system and advance understanding of its broader development potential.
Combined with the historical mine and nearby silver-rich slag deposit, Silver Spur represents more than a historically significant asset. It remains an important component of the wider Texas project and may contribute meaningfully to future growth as technical work continues.
